The Notion

The term “Varsity” is an informal traditional short name for “University”. It was formerly used by well established traditional universities such as Oxford, Cambridge and is also used in countries such as New Zealand, Australia, South East Asia and Africa. The Academician Prof. Ralph J Thomas felt there is a need for a Varsity to offer recognition for personnel, who, through no fault of their own, could not achieve paper qualifications to confirm their status in the business world as qualified professionals in their own right.

The WIV is registered as Limited by Shares with Liability in Great Britain. All the founders are committed to providing and maintaining a very high standard of further higher education for today’s busy executives & management professionals.. WIV is the gateway for a unique qualification for working individual who aspires to earn a Qualification based on their achievements. Currently there is a big demand for the flexibility of the study method. WIV felt the need to have Overseas Centres to assist and provide the facilities for Workshops/Seminars for local candidates. Due to the growing demand for Work Oriented Diplomas and Degree Qualifications are becoming a necessity rather than an option. WIV enrolments are open throughout the year to suit all applicants.
