It is a great honour to say a few words about Professor
Dr. Ralph J Thomas, who is our Founder and Honorary
Executive Rector of Westminster International Varsity
(WIV). We must accept that he is a great visionary true to
the Biblical saying, “Where there is no vision, the people
perish”. His award of “Freeman of London” is purely based
on his contribution and development in the new field of
Professional and Vocational Education. His personal vision
and participation as the co-founder with knowledge of
development of three private independent universities
namely the European Continental University (Professional
Awards), University College of Hospitality and Care
(Career Awards) and the British American University
(Vocational) are the landmark of confirmation for personal
achievement. |

excellence’ should go primarily to none other than Prof.
Dr. Ralph J Thomas for the virgin territory that he has
charted into bringing affordable Professional and Vocational
Educational Qualifications to those who are continually being
denied the privilege to be recognised for their Experience and
Skills.
His passion for Career, Professional and Vocational
Education is like an “Olympic Torch” and his undying
concept ‘education for career devolution’ is inimitable in
style, and ushers in a revolution in the system of study and
its professional approach. As a self-made personality, Prof
Ralph’s roles have been manifold, starting from the
hospitality industry to prestigious club organisations to
professional bodies where he has held high-ranking positions.
Though they were all success stories, his heart and soul
were set on making education an affordable, easily accessible
Gift of God for those who are quite intelligent, aspiring and
having a world of experience behind them in their chosen
professions but are constantly being denied the opportunities
to get qualifications because of enormous fees prompted by a
highly circuitous traditional University path.
Prof. Ralph J Thomas firmly believes that it behoves a
person to achieve great things in life. One must not only
dream but must believe in one’s self, plan and act upon it. He
initially started WIV, the flagship organisation, the symbol
of quality, as an independent standards evaluating
organisation with the prime task of assessing, examining and
validating independent educational institutions and their kind
the world over by the establishment of a system of
accreditation.
Prof. Ralph J Ralph has tirelessly worked in getting
academicians, eminent educationists, professionals and notable
public figures to serve in the WIV Board to advise, monitor
and maintain very high standards for what WIV stands for;
quality professional qualifications in a viable capsule. He is
undaunted in his indefatigable efforts and dedication to the
advancement of WIV candidates by working closely with
employers, businesses, professional bodies and professional
educational institutions the world-over, in order for them to
recognise this as a meritorious and excellent academic
innovation with a strong emphasis on education for the 21st
century.
In the year 2005 Prof. Thomas was nominated as
Director of Global Education System (GES) and awarded the
scientific degree of International Doctor of Philosophy, Grand
Doctor of Philosophy (the highest in the world), and the Title
of Full Professor of European Academy of Information (EAI) and
the World Information Distributed University (WIDU)in April,
2006. His name is entered in the list of OUTSTANDING PERSONS,
RESEARCHERS & PROFESSORS.
In the year April 2006, Prof. Dr. Stephen R
Barnhart, the Executive President of the International
University, Grandview International University, International
Business & Educational Consultants, and Barnhart Security &
Alarm Int'l have nominated and elected Prof. Ralph J Thomas to
their Academic Panel and Honorary Vice President for
International Business Development.
